(a) A new drydock of 400-450 ft. is being constructed near Causeway Bay, Hongkong. Machinery for its development is being assembled there.

(b) There is some doubt about the truth of this report. Apart from the fact that Honong has already 8 drydocks of from 250 ft. to 680 ft., Causeway Bay is totally unsuited for the purpose, having shallow water suitable only for yachts, etc.

(a) Two ships believed to be the "Haiyang" and the "Haitan" are reported to have been salvaged at Douglas Wharf, Hongkong. Also H.M.S. "Thracien has been salvaged and docked at the Naval Dockyard.
